View Full Version : So how do you think the Rodgers/Favre saga will play out?

I think the Packers were idiots for letting Favre go. I fully believe that the only reason they did was because they had already promised their golden boy the keys to the car and if they gave them back to Favre, Rodgers either wouln't re-sign next year when he's a free agent or he would've wanted A LOT of money for an unproven QB.

So, they figured they'd send Favre packing' and maybe only miss one or two more good years with him and bet the farm on Rodgers.

Rodgers has talent, but he's only beaten a pair of 0-2 teams. I think Dalls is going to beat his ass.

My prediction is that Rodgers will get injured and be out at some point this season and the Packers will be bent over with no lube. Rodgers will probably be a backup up somewhere in the league within 3-5 years ala Kurt Warner.

And what did he do between this year and his last superbowl appearance. :inout:

one year in which the defense carried the team sure changed a lot of the favre perception. people were begging him to retire for 3 years before he finally took them back to the playoffs. he's done, and his performances in NY show that.

anyone wanna place a wager that he wont make the pro bowl?

I think he looks as sharp as he did last year. Its obvious that he doesn't have the same level of talent at receiver with the Jets, but I don't think it was any secret that the Jets aren't as good as the Packers. I watched his two preseason games as well and he looked very sharp.

They gave away the game to New England. Look at the stats between both teams... nearly identical and they held NE to only one touchdown.
